Microsoft MapPoint is a very useful, advanced and complex technology that allows users to see and edit maps. Microsoft MapPoint was first released in the year 2000, with Microsoft MapPoint 2000. Microsoft MapPoint only works on the Microsoft Windows Operating System but there is also a slightly limited version available for Windows CE, which is used on Tablet computers and Smartphones.

A couple of years after the first release of Microsoft MapPoint, Microsoft created a free version of MapPoint which was then superseded by MSN Maps and, eventually, by Bing Maps. Microsoft MapPoint can be used by individuals, professionals and businesses. It can be used in conjunction with a range of different software applications and web-based applications.
